Canada

Canada- vast, rich, beautiful Canada.

You know that Canada’s capital is Ottawa, and that the other major cities are Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary.

But did you know that Canada is the second largest country in the entire world, after Russia? Can you imagine that? And did you know that Canada has a lot in common with the United States of America, except for one major difference- Canada is civilized! For example, students in Canada don’t bring guns to school and shoot up the classroom. Instead, students in Canada bring books to school, and they study! Canada is one of the most educated countries on the planet; over half of its residents have college degrees, and Canada has a literacy rate of 99%. According to the Programme for International Student Assessment, Canadian students perform well above the OECD average, especially in math, science, and reading. Canada, like Iran, is a country which values education.

Another point worth mentioning here on the Australian Education Center website is that Canada has one of the highest per capita immigration rates in the world. In 2010, 280,636 people immigrated to Canada, and the Canadian government anticipates that between 260,000 and 285,000 new permanent residents will arrive in 2015. Immigrants settle mostly in Canada’s major cities, like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

A highly educated country with friendly, civilized, open minded people- that’s Canada.

The only drawback we can think of is that it can get very cold, so you need a warm coat. Also, you have to stay away from the bears, if you go hiking out in the wild.
